Spain’s Sanchez Attends Pro-Palestinian Music Festival in Barcelona
During his visit, Sanchez watched several performances, including the headline show by British band Gorillaz. Before the concert began, Palestinian activist Arab Barghouti, son of imprisoned Palestinian political figure Marwan Barghouti, addressed the audience.
In his remarks, Barghouti expressed gratitude to Barcelona and its residents for their support of the Palestinian people. His comments were met with loud responses from attendees, who chanted "Free Palestine."
Following the event, Sanchez posted a video of the speech on Instagram and wrote: "Thank you for raising your voice."
Throughout the festival grounds, organizers displayed messages promoting peace and solidarity. A large illuminated "No War" installation was also prominently featured, reinforcing the event’s broader calls for an end to conflict.
The festival has gained attention in recent years for incorporating political and humanitarian messages alongside its musical performances, particularly regarding the situation in Gaza and support for Palestinian rights.
